As
far as beauty is concerned, there is no other place
like Club de Pesca Restaurant, located with in the
walls of Fort Pastelillo, on the island of Manga.
This setting makes you recall the city’s history
of corsairs and pirates, in contrast with the modern
yatchs and fishermen’s sail boats anchored at
its dock.
In this beautiful site you will start enjoying the
mood even before you take a look at the menu. Your
ears will also relish in cooing ballads like “Cartagena
Nights”, played every evening with the rush
of the waves in the back ground. The menu is as good
as the ambience: it includes dishes of the nuovo -
Latina trend like “ El Tiradito Peruano”
and popular specialties from Cartagena, like Coconut
Shrimp, the “Boquill” seafood casserole
with a touch of fresh coconut milk and coriander,
Asian food, in vogue today. As its chef, Vanessa Figueroa,
puts it, the menu is enriched by the Asian trend,
but cares for the most traditional Cartagena dishes.
Vanessa, an idustrial engineer, graduated from Fouchon
cuisine scholl, in France and Cordon Bleu.
This restaurant is
the choice of the real connoisseurs. Proof of this
is the international clientele, among which stands
out the King of Spain and Pope John Paul II. This
is why it was the only Colombian restaurant included
in the chronicle “Work to Rest” in the
prestigious Latin Trade business magazine.
